Our goal is to provide a safe environment for Erie area children to learn the fundamentals of the games, develop discipline and self-esteem, and most importantly HAVE FUN! Through individual and team commitment, North Coast Sports Association, Inc. will strive to meet the challenge of providing a program with integrity for sportsmanship, learning, and recreation.

ALL games are played behind the Boys and Girls Club located at 1515 East Lake Road in Erie, Pa.
Please note that we are NOT affiliated with The Boys and Girls Club, Please direct any questions or concerns with a board member :-)
Games are held during the week at 6pm and on Saturdays at 9 and 11.
Board Meetings are held once a month. If your interested in becoming a member and have the time to give please contact us.
We strive to keep our fees affordable and our fundraisers easy.
We could always use volunteers, and we're open to new ideas/suggestions.
We have 1 MANDATORY fundraisers.
At the end of the season we host a picnic with good food, family fun, adult and children Chinese auction, and more.
ABOUT US
Andy G / President
In addition to presiding over board and executive committee meetings, the non-profit board president has a variety of responsibilities. As “chief volunteer,” the president works with the board, staff and community to further the organization’s mission. A president influences how the board uses its time, the selection of board members and its future leadership. Anyone taking on this role must be committed to the organization and must understand the scope of energy and time required to effectively do the job.
Andy has been on the NCSA Board for 4 years. He has no children.He has been employed at Electric Materials for 9 years. He hasbeen coaching both softball & baseball for about 18 years.
Jason G / Vice President
Jason. helps the president; service to the other club officers; and service to the general membership of the club. As vice-president, you are the right hand of the president. You can and should assist the president and other officers with their duties.
Alesha has been involved with NCSA for 14 years since sheinitially began playing in the league in 3rd grade; she played untilher senior year at Strong Vincent. After high school shegraduated from Fortis as a Dental Assistant and works atHammerlee Dental. With the help of her father she has beencoaching in the league for 3 years. She is a single mother andenjoys using her free time to volunteer and teach the children.
Lisa W / Treasurer / Concession Manager
Lisa as treasurer helps board members carry out their financial responsibilities. They might do this by

presenting financial reports to the board in a format that helps the board understand the organisation's financial position

advising the board on how to carry out its financial responsibilities

liasing with professional advisors

overseeing the preparation and scrutiny of annual accounts
in small organisations, the Treasurer might take on some or all of the day to day financial duties, such as bookkeeping, budgeting and preparation of reports.

Maintains the operation of concession facilities

Organizes the purchase of concession products

Responsible for the management of the concession sales at league events

Schedules volunteers to work the concession booth during league events

Collects and reviews concession related offers including coupons, discounts and bulk-purchasing opportunities

Organizes, tallies and keeps records of concession sales and purchases
Lisa has been involved with NCSA for 14 years since her daughterAlesha began playing in the league. With the help of her husband(former military Jeff Walter) she has assisted with coaching forover 10 years. She is the Office Manager at R. M. Kerner Company.She is the founding member, minister, teacher, and BoardSecretary for the United Christian Spiritualist Church but hasbeen involved with other board organizations as well as withmilitary spousal support when her husband was active duty. Sheloves being able to volunteer her time to helping children.

Secretary/ John
Michelles role as secretarial duties (such as organising board meetings and preparing minutes from the meetings) to be undertaken by employees. In this situation the honorary secretary's only role may be to take minutes of confidential sections of the meetings where employees are not present secretary might take on more administrative duties to support the board – such as taking minutes at board meetings.

Coaching Coordinator / Jason
Represents coaches/managers in league; presents a coach/manager training budget to the board; gains the support and funds necessary to implement a league-wide training program; orders and distributes training materials to players, coaches and managers; coordinates mini-clinics as necessary.
Christina / Event Sponsorship Coordinator,Event Coordinator and Fundraising Coordinator
NCSA Fundraising & Events Coordinator is responsible for
Raising money for the League
Plan events with the key focus on obtaining funds for the League
Prioritize projects to keep multiple events moving in a timely manner
Plan events that promote the League’s social involvement within the community
Establish & maintain personal contacts & relationships within the community
Boys & Girls Club of Erie, City of Erie Parks Dept, School Districts, Make-A-Wish, etc
NCSA Donation & Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible
Identifying, cultivating, soliciting & stewarding individual, corporate & organizational
donator & sponsor prospects to become part of the League
Assemble, submit, & track requests
Establish & maintain personal contacts & relationships with current/potential donators &
sponsors
Conduct prospect research & meet League deadlines
Ensure all donators & sponsors are acknowledged as agreed for their support of the League
Field banner, online business posting, thank-you letters, etc
In addition to the above
Create & maintain flyers, forms, letters, & requests
Provide progress & reports to the League

John / Director of Softball
Conducts annual tryouts, is in charge of player selection, assists the president in checking birth records and eligibility of players and generally supervises and coordinates the transfer of players to or from the Minor Leagues according to provisions of the regulations of NCSA. Separate player agents may also be selected to oversee individual divisions within the league. The player agent must not manage, coach or umpire in the division over which he/she has authority, unless the local league has received explicit written permission to allow this from NCSA.
John has been involved with NCSA since he signed up his
daughter 12 years ago. Since that time he has been a Parent Rep,
Head Coach, Assistant Coach, & a Board member. He has been
employed at the Erie Times News in the Audience & Consumer
Marketing Department for 7 years & dabbles in freelance
copywriting.

Jason G / Information Officer
The information officer manages the league's official home page on wix.com, manages the online registration process and ensures that league rosters are maintained on the site, assigns administrative rights to league volunteers and teams, ensures that league news and scores are updated on a regular basis, collects, posts and distributes important information on League activities including direct dissemination of fund-raising and sponsor activities to Little League International, district, public, league members and media, serves as primary contact person for NCSA web page regarding optimizing use of the Internet for league administration and for distributing information to league members , and displays enthusiasm for using the Internet for league administration, for sharing information and for creating a more enjoyable and efficient NCSA experience.
NCSA is a youth organization that administers softball for children in the Erie area. We currently provide a softball program made up of 4 divisions of approximately 250 children ages 4-18.
